Ourika Valley nestled in the Atlas Mountains. Located in the south of Marrakech.is probably the most visited area in the Atlas Mountains as it is only an hour drive (60 kilometers) from Marrakech. A trip to the Ourika valley is a great escape from the heat and noise of Marrakech. The first thirty minutes will lead you through, a rather dull flat plane. The breathtaking views of the Berber villages and landscapes begin. There is a big Monday at the souk this village on the roadside. Setti Fatma is the place to go! There are several small (and some much larger) waterfalls along the route here and not all of them are packed with tourists.

 

We advise you to bring along some hiking boots as we will go on a short trail through to some of the Setti Fatma Cascades (waterfalls). You should also bring with you some swimwear and sunblock as we may have an opportunity to plunge into some small pools that gather at the foot of the waterfalls. One is astonished by the hard work undertaken by the Berber populations of the region who did not hesitate to hoist the materials necessary to the construction of small houses fixed on the side of mountain or to work the terraces necessary for the agriculture in hostile environment hill.

 

Ourika’s atmosphere and unique decor is sure to impress! Also, you will have an optional walk to see the beautiful waterfalls in the village of setti Fatma. You can have lunch at any of the local restaurants serving delicious cuisine next to the creek, admiring views of the rivers.
