Full Description

Our day excursion to the Ourika Valley from Marrakech begins at 9 a.m. We will take you through the breathtaking scenery of the valley, which is located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.

The grandeur of the Setti Fatma area, with its magnificent views and seven beautiful waterfalls, will then captivate you. On this day’s excursion from Marrakech to Ourika Valley, we will visit a Berber family, experience their life, and have lunch beside the river.

Itinerary

1DAY: MARRAKECH - OURIKA VALLEY - MARRAKECH

Begin this beautiful journey by being picked up at 09H00 from your hotel or Riad by a lovely car and a very professional and friendly driver.

The first thirty minutes will lead you through a rather dull, flat plane. The breathtaking views of the Berber villages and landscapes begin. There is a big Monday at the souk in this village on the roadside. Setti Fatma is the place to go! There are several small (and some much larger) waterfalls along the route here, and not all of them are packed with tourists.

We advise you to bring along some hiking boots, as we will go on a short trail through some of the Setti Fatma Cascades (waterfalls). You should also bring with you some swimwear and sunblock, as we may have the opportunity to plunge into some small pools that gather at the foot of the waterfalls. One is astonished by the hard work undertaken by the Berber populations of the region, who did not hesitate to hoist the materials necessary for the construction of small houses fixed on the side of a mountain or to work the terraces necessary for agriculture in a hostile environment.

Ourika’s atmosphere and unique decor are sure to impress! Also, you will have an optional walk to see the beautiful waterfalls in the village of Setti Fatma. You can have lunch at any of the local restaurants serving delicious cuisine next to the creek, admiring views of the rivers.
