Live the life of a Berber for a night on a safari in the desert 2 days in Zagora and the Draa Valley of Marrakech. Discover the sand dunes offset on the back of a camel, sleep under a starry sky, and follow in the footsteps of Hollywood royalty on a visit to the world heritage village of Ait Ben Haddou. 

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY -ZAGORA – DUNES

Our staff will pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech around ~ 7:00 to ~7:30 am and escort you to the departure point which is located in the main square Jamaa El Funa.

So, we request you to be ready and waiting at the lobby of your Hotel or Riad before pick up timing.

 

We will head towards the high Atlas Mountains on the Tichka Pass, which is about 2600m, a winding, scenic drive with stunning views.
You will make your first stop at the old and beautiful Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, fill the desert mountains. After that, you can visit Ouarzazate – the city at the gates of the Sahara.
We leave for Zagora via Agdez and through the beautiful valley of Draa.
Arrival in Zagora, change the minibus for the dromedaries to admire the sunset and spend the night under the tent.
Dinner and night in bivouac under the tent.

 

DAY 2: ZAGORA DUNES – AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE – TICHKA – MARRAKECH

 

Wake up early to discover the magic of a desert sunrise (optional). Then, have breakfast before getting back in the saddle of your camel for the return trip to the main road
Returning by dromedary to Zagora to catch the minibus, then taking the way to Ouarzazate via the valley of the Draa and Agdez (lunch on the way).

 

Back to Marrakech in the Evening around ~ 18:00 or 19:00.
